Anna Boronea is an award-winning Romanian director and producer based in London, UK.
She began working in the Romanian film industry as a production assistant while studying Business Administration at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies in 2016. After graduating in 2019, she started her filmmaking studies at MetFilm School London, focusing on producing and directing.
After working for two years as a production coordinator across the two virtual production stages at Garden Studios in London, she has moved into working as a freelance producer and director. In the past three years, she has ensured the successful delivery of more than 60 shoots for clients such as Netflix, BBC, Logitech, Epic Games and Save The Children, as well as various music videos, corporate, drama and factual content.
She has recently completed The Oracle, her first film produced and directed on a virtual production stage, which has won the best micro short film award at Wild Indie Sci-Fi Festival and has been selected to numerous film festivals, including the BIFA-qualifying Sunderland Shorts. She aims to always find a spark of magic in every story that she brings to life on screen, and leave the audience enchanted.
