Anna Boronea is an award-winning Romanian director and producer born in Linz, Austria, and currently based in London, UK.

She began working in the Romanian film industry as a production assistant while studying Business Administration at the Bucharest University of Economic Studies in 2016. After graduating in 2019, she started her filmmaking studies at MetFilm School London, where she has worked on numerous narrative and factual projects as a director and producer.  

Her drama/sci-fi short film The Time Between Us which she directed and produced in 2021 was an official selection for the Sci-Fi London Film Festival, Women X Film Festival and Ealing Film Festival. In 2022 she has produced her graduation short film For Better or Worse, which has won Best Drama at Novella Film Festival and has received several selections at Argo Student Shorts, SIMFEST and Diorama Film Festival.

Currently, Anna is working as a production coordinator across the two virtual production stages at Garden Studios in London, having ensured the successful delivery of more than 40 shoots for clients such as Netflix, BBC, Logitech, Epic Games and Save The Children, as well as various music videos, corporate, drama and factual content.

She has recently completed The Oracle, her first film produced and directed on a virtual production stage, and is developing other independent projects as a producer and director. She aims to always find a spark of magic in every story that she brings to life on screen, and leave the audience enchanted.
